Opinions Wanted: Showcase Feature

    I have access to a new feature I could add to goTitans called "Showcase".

    What it does is allow members to post photos and descriptions on most anything they was to showcase. It allows for others to comment. It also allows for rating the item.

    For example:
    We can have a category on video games. Someone posts up some images from a game. Members can then review/rank the game along with post comments. It's similar to what we do now in the forum on specific games, movies, shows, etc. in The Lounge.

    Here's an example of it in action:
    Garage | Z22SE.co.uk
    Reviews | XFUniverse
    Book Reviews | ReaderSociety
    Showcase | Xen Addons

    We could have a variety of categories:
    • Titans Memorabilia
    • Restaurants
    • Video Games
    • Movies/TV Shows
    • Pinup Models
    • Comics
    • Beers
    • Recipes
    • Music

    You get the idea. Anything a group of members here wanted to showcase, this does it. But before I go to the trouble of setting it up, I wanted to get some feedback on the idea of having this. It isn't typical of a football site but, if enough seem interested, it might be worth putting in.

    Can we format it like Tinder?

    Only members posting pics of themselves and we rate them "hot" or "not".


    Other than that, solid idea.

    What about for Titans news? That Showcase option looks nice but with Free Agency going on, I could see a lot of use for it. Pic of player, contract details and scouting report, and then fans rate the signing. Could do same with draft and draft prospects?
