It was C.J.
Perhaps injuries to Amano and Harris with a return to using a fullback hasn't helped?
Injuries to Amano and Harris are the cause of CJs early season issues...
Amano going down was a blessing and Harris didn't get hurt until a couple of weeks ago. Both of those guys suck.
I think you mis-read my post. I meant those injuries have helped.....CJ can run up the middle now. Plus, having quinn johnson in seems to have CJ back to form.
His best days were behind a full-back.
Note this scheme difference from the first few games to now and also realize the difference in attempts.
Amano has been out since camp and Harris has been missing just a few weeks, I don't think they play much of an issue at all with his early season struggles.
However QJ has been playing very well in my eyes.
Pay attention to attempts. The Titans are now trying to establish the running game.
That isn't a realistic stat to look at. Its much easier to establish a run game when you can actually run.
How is it not realistic? The Titans were using a bunch of five wides early in the season and have now gotten back to two tightend sets.
Because you are not going to keep running the ball with CJ getting negative or less than 2 yards a carry.
Early on the Titans were running CJ out of the shotgun.......who are you going to worry about first? A second year quarterback making his first few starts or a runningback with his name in the history books? Spacing is good and all, but the defense's focus will be CJ for quite some time.
Not to mention we got down early in the first few games and had to pass.
Go look at the paly-by-play and see the frmations we were running.
