Jones to Meet with NFL Commissioner

SUMMARY: Pacman Jones is scheduled to meet with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on April 3 to discuss the Titans CBs run-ins with the law. Goodell is unlikely to make any decision on a suspension or fine at that time, because the commissioner's new, stricter player conduct policy has not been completed. Titans Coach Jeff Fisher fully supports a stricter NFL conduct policy. "Our organization is very much in favor of the commissioner's involvement," he said. "We're very much in tune with him. He has a plan and is determined, as are all of us, to minimize, if not eliminate this."

Hmm, where have we heard that one? If his plan is anything like the 'other' plan, he'll probably bring in the wrong guys to meet with.

 

What gets my hopes up with this whole thing is this line...

"He's very disappointed with what's happened," Fisher said. "He thinks he let the city, the fans and his teammates and the organization down."

If that is true, then maybe there's really a way to work with this guy and to straighten him out a little. I wish Fisher would take the guy under his wing, invite him over, be sorta like a father figure to him.

At this point it is just hollow words.
