    McNair's 2003 season in 14 games:

    250 completions 400 attempts 62.5% 3,215 yards 8.0 ypa 229 ypg 24tds 7ints
    100.4 rating
He also had 4 rushing TDs.

    Peyton's 2003 season in 16 games:

    379 comp. 566 att. 67 % 4267 yards 7.5 ypa 29 tds 10 ints 99 rating

McNair didn't deserve at least Co-MVP status that year Omaha?

I may not think his overall career was HoF worthy. And his status among Titan Fans is overrated. But you are talking a bunch of BS about his 2003 season.

So 28 tds in 14 games vs 29 in 16 and McNair had a higher QB rating.

To say that McNair didn't deserve at least his share of the mvp is being disingenuous.

And as far as H2H goes for that year the reason the Colts won was James not Manning.

I gave my vote to McNair.

When you get down to single season performances, its amazing how much of an arguement can be made for every case.

I really think Pac and CJ lose out on this because we didn't really go anywhere. Sucks too because you would figure CJ's record breaking season would make a team Super Bowl bound. Just goes to show how much of a team game football is.

As you will note earlier in this thread, on page 1, I stated that I picked McNair and AH was a close second and that his stats didn't tell the whole story. But you probably couldn't be bothered to read the whole thread....

    Here is what Deuce said...

Deuce is implying McNair's efforts didn't actually help the team??? That's f'n ludicrous.

And again, overrated or not, having a QB that did what McNair did in 2003 would be the most beneficial to the team in 2011.

I didn't say it didn't help the team.

I just think in general he was average. And I think a great defensive performance helps us far more than a good QB performance.

Maybe , instead of advising I go back and read the entire thread, which I did, you need to go back and read your own posts. You asked how Deuce stating McNair was overrated is relevant to this poll. If he believes that and provides examples for us to go by, then it is very relevant because those examples help dictate the choosing process of this very poll.

    http://www.thefreedictionary.com/relevant

According to the definition of relevant and how something is relevant, it will have a direct bearing on the matter at hand.

Now follow closely: McNair is an option to choose>McNair is overrated>McNair is not chosen

    Relevant.

If Deuce was speaking of McNair being overrated in 2003 then it would be relevant. He wasn't so it wasn't. This isn't about what player do you want for their career, it's about what one season from a prior player would be best duplicated for the 2011 team.
