Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson took another big step forward in his return from injury last Sunday, when he went over 100 yards for the first time since undergoing knee surgery to repair a torn ACL on Dec. 31, 2011.

Peterson carried 21 times for 102 yards in the Vikings’ win over Detroit, and he’s run 79 times for 332 yards (4.2-yard average) in four games.

“The game he had last week was the closest I’ve seen, and that’s the Adrian (Peterson) we remember,” Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said. “He was vintage Adrian in so many ways in that ballgame on Sunday.

“His first 100-yard game since his surgery, and he ran with such authority and was so explosive in and out of his cut just like we remembered from the past. I think he’s just about there. He’s just going to get better and better as he gets stronger over time.”

Peterson should be another formidable challenge for a Titans team that is ranked 27th in the league against the run. The Titans did a respectable job containing Arian Foster and the Texans last week, limiting Houston to 95 yards on 31 carries.

“He looks good,” Titans middle linebacker Colin McCarthy said. “Watching film, he hasn’t lost a step. He probably gained a step being out the way he is.

“It’ll be a good test for us, especially for run defense. We let up a lot of yards the first three weeks. Last week, we did a good job stopping the run. It will be a good task for us, but we’re up to the challenge.”

Let's just trade CJ for AP! The #1 RB (CJ) for the #2 RB (AP)!

Vikings will surely go for it!
    Scarecrow high fives this.
