Exactly! I see you payed attention in the super bowl too! He totally botched the throw to Moss (who should've gone back to the ball). They quoted Ray Lewis talking about how he's a one read QB, and they exposed that in the super bowl. He's been able to get away with it because of their dynamic pistol offense. That power outage was crap... Destroyed the game as it was happening, 49ers must've called Buffalo Wild Wings.

Yea, one read against soft zone trying to contain him. It works... Don't Get me wrong but it is a system for him to be able to ball like he does.

Well, being successful is all about putting your players in a position to win. You are probably right about palmer. If you, as a coaching staff, are set on a scheme, you pick players to fit it. Too bad. I have heard sooooo many coaches saying, "oh ya, we are going to take the best possible player available to us when our #___ pick in the draft comes up". lol. All a bunch of hogwash. They have their fav's.

Yup. Palmer had his scheme preset before the draft and went and found the cat he thought could run it. For the situation he was the "best player" considering intangibles and Arm talent. Make those big down field throws. If it woulda worked, he'd have looked like god, but instead it just failed... Horribly.

    Least we didn't take Gabbert.

wow- you appear to have it bad.

Kaep has a rocket with laser accuracy for short/intermed throws. His deep ball could use a bit more arc but its on the money. Several drops in the SB that would have been DEEP gains or scores.

Just to clarify- you ARE watching Colin Kaepernick of the 49ers- right?

And btw- Locker had plenty of time to learn this super-complicated "Palmer system". If he was crippled by the system, then you are admitting his mind is crippled.

You like to play both sides of the coin to defend Locker. In one instance, you blame Locker's lack of production on the personnel around him, in another you blame the coaching. Yet you feel the coaches haven't had enough time to implement the system because they have poor personnel. The problem is that the personnel around him was selected by the coaching. And you seem to forget that Locker himself was selected by Munchak/RW/MR.

Come one and just call a spade a spade. Locker hasn't shown us chit on multiple levels. We ARE stuck with him next year no doubt, but just what else other than we are stuck with him (and you'd prefer to lean to the "bright side" of things) makes you unwilling to say thus far Locker's performance is disappionting and HE is responsible for that.

You seem to have a REAL bias against CK. The dude has a great arm, great legs, great coach and can get the ball out quick, on time and in the right spot. We haven't seen any (if much at all) of that from Locker.

You said arm homie. ARM. Zip ? Accuracy? Speed? Which one? Arm to me refers as the speed and distance they can send the ball. I flat said the difference is accuracy. And maybe his decision making... You are reading MY posts right? I didn't defend locker. You made a bad point saying locker doesn't have an arm... Uhh mind telling me how crippled Mannings arm hurt him? Dude looked ridiculous but it got there...

I didnt defend the dude. I flat said his accuracy sucks. Kaep is definitely more accurate. What are you trying to get at?

And if you take a QB from college and develope him in a system that suits his talents like he 9ers did, you come away with a better more polished product... Instead we took a QB from college with accuracy issues and tried to change him.. Big pass first offense. You don't think that doesn't affect his production? That's not on the coaching?

I'd put selecting PacMan Jones over Aaron Rodgers up there

Well, hindsight is always 20/20. There are some young qb's that did very well this year. They have better supporting cast members than Locker does. Example, do you really think our receiver corps would be catching Kaps laser shots? Hell no! Not all young qb's do great in their first/second seasons like Kap. I have not given up on Locker yet. I am willing to be a bit more patient with him. There are some other members of our team that should be playing better. Those players get dealt with and soooo much of the titans success or failure won't be soooo dependant on a young qb. I think Locker was put into a bad situation. Crap team, success dependant on him and him alone, plus new coaches who don't know what the F they are doing= recipe for disaster. Too much pressure all at once for a young qb. All that whirlwind would not be too much for any other position onthe field, but for the guy who is charged with running this mess, too much all at once. I think manning or brady would have had difficulty making this years team successful.

Actually manning and Brady know how to win. They basically call their own shots at this point of their careers. Manning prolly more so than Brady.

But yes. Locker was thrown into a bad situation with coaches that had a bad theory on how to make it work. Kaep is in his system. It works... Locker has to get more comfortable in the red zone, decision making, short/intermediate accuracy... That's a lot to deal with while learning a new offense this off season. Add in the crap Oline and questionable run game? Something has to give. He is at fault, but the team in general is at fault too. He didnt pick the titans... The titans picked him.

I'm asking you because I don't understand where you are coming from not being able to admit Kaepernick is better than Locker. Sometimes it's the coaches fault, sometimes it's the scheme but it's never just because Locker isn't all that good and shouldn't have been drafted. It is almost as if you are suggesting that Locker could have just as easily led the 49ers this year the way Kaepernick did. Simply not true IMO.

And btw- the majority of people use the term "arm" to reference throwing ability. That includes accuracy, speed, timing etc. You suggest CK's throwing speed gets him trouble- really? how much?

Kaepernick came into the league the same year JL did. sat for a year- same as JL. His debut was MNF against the bears D who was leading the league in takeways. Kaepernick spanked their azz- both by the speed of his legs, his quick decision making and his ACCURATE and timely throws.

It's ridiculous to me that you just can't admit that Kaepernick is a better NFL QB because of his individual attributes versus Jake Locker.
