That game, the Cardinals game. I was at the Houston game when he won the game in over time. VY would look like crap for 3 quarters but all this sudden he flips a switch and is a different guy in the fourth.

Marcus will look good for a half or 3 quarters, then if the game is close or on the line, the game all of a sudden looks too big for him. I don't understand it. He's has the skills to be a top QB in this league.

Not to say he can't be leaned on, cause whatever zone Marcus was in during OT game against the Saints last year, he needs to find a way to tap into that and have the killer instinct to put teams away.

As much as I dislike Andrew Luck, he has that trait. Down 21-3 and all this sudden he has this killer instinct, and got the lead with less than a minute left.

Luckily, Stafford countered and drove down the field and the Lions won with a field goal.

If we can get Lewan and Conklin playing like Matthews and Runyun it would be interesting.

 

I back Titanup on this. Lewan looks better than last year but he still has that air of taking a play off and more importantly being a powderkeg that might go off. Opponents are not fools , they know this and will do what they can to get Lewan to bite. Not saying Lewan is a Richie Incognito kind of madman but he needs to keep things in check.

IIRC , the colour guys on the commentary made reference to Lewan having a running battle that may have been a little bit below board as early as the 1st Quarter.
