The Rockets had tied an NBA record with 23 three pointers made with about 3 minutes left. The crowd started chanting "one more 3!" and at that point with the Warriors down by 30 something points, Mark Jackson, coach of the Warriors, told his team to start intentionally fouling to send them to the free throw line (so they wouldn't be able to shoot another 3). I think there was 3 intentional fouls in the last minute as soon as a Rocket player inbounded the pass, which included a flagrant foul at 4:44. Now keep in mind the Rockets had already pulled their starters, and even though they were shooting a few more 3's than they should have been given the scoreboard, it wasn't like they just started jacking up 3's left and right after the 23 mark, they were still running set plays. After the game Mark Jackson refused to shake hands with Rocket coach, Kevin McHale and defended his actions by stating he's an old school coach and was an old school player, and wasn't going to "lay down like that" and was mad the Rockets were trying to break the record at the end.
