Safety will be addressed in FA

    Currently we have Byard and Searcy as the only safeties on our roster. We won't head into the draft with just 2. So who do we go after in FA??? Berry is off the board now so their isn't a stud safety available.

    Do we resign Rashad Johnson or Damian Stafford???

    Do we go after Tony Jefferson, Chris Conte, or Barry Church???

    Do we tell Mccourty that he is moving to safety???

    The Big Nickle package is becoming a more standard package these days so we have to add 2 more safeties to the roster

    So where do you go pre-draft???

    You do relize that Jefferson is probably getting around 7 million a year this offseason right? No way we would sign Jefferson and draft Adams when we have Byard coming off a solid rookie season.

    I'm aware. It was sarcasm mixed with overkill tactics.

    However we do run BN quite a bit now. No harm in having 3 good safeties.

    Re-sign Stafford, and draft Adams at 5. Address corner in FA + draft(3rd round) Get a over the top Rec. at 18.

    Is Searcy worth his 7mil price tag???? or would we be better off signing Jefferson to a 7mil deal and cutting Searcy???

    cutting Searcy also counts for $4M in dead money to be applied to our cap this year, thats bad business, JR aint gonna cut him out right

    Ah. I didn't pick it up.

    I like Stafford in his big nickle role. He is definitely a must re sign for me.
