Well that's obvious. We arnt going to cut the guy but it's also obvious we need to bring in serious competition/talent at the position.

Doesn't need to be a rookie, but someone needs to bring brought for competition. Not Fitz.
Other teams seem to find rookies QBs in mid rounds, but we can't find them in the top 10.
The problem isn't rookies being capable of providing competition it's our evaluating talent that's the problem. This org sucks at it.

Basically every known commodity in the NFL at the QB position has already been tapped by some team.

I'd trade for Ryan mallet and that's really the only talent on an nfl team that I think could become a starter for us. Maybe cousins? But what's the price.

You're not going to get a FA and magically turn them into something. That virtually never happens.

I hope we can draft Murray and he can win the starting job for good! Locker would make a nice backup qb tho, he already sits on the bench most of the time now anyways! o_O Fitz would have to be cut but no worries there.

IMO, best bet if we drafted Murray would be to ride with Jake and probably a veteran backup in 2014, not have Murray rush back from ACL. 2015 Murray gets in the mix for starter or No. 2, depending on how Jake does healthwise and performance. That is a more patient approach than some are willing to see, but IMO, the most logical.

I would love to draft a good rookie QB. Sit him and let him learn from Locker whilst providing the competition that has been somewhat lacking at QB in recent years.

I agree with that but my patience is almost gone as I see how good all these young qb's come in to this league have immediate success. I am not opposed to that idea though but it will take a few years then.

These other guys have had systems catered to them. Jake, not so much. His injuries, not talent, is my concern. Wouldnt make sense to cater an offense now, if he cant stay on the field. At this point, he learns a new offense, beats the odds and flourishes in it or gets outta town next season.
