OK, this is getting weird...

 

I would like to say that I agree with the premise of this thread. I was reading on this board in 2004 and became a member in 2005, and the posts here after going 13-3 and 8-8 are more negative than posts from the 5-11 and 4-12 seasons back then. Every post about free agency, multiple posters complain about the front office. Many threads about draft picks are met with responses along the lines of "The Titans will mess up the picks." (See: The current thread about compensatory picks) I understand everybody has their own opinions, and they should. I just don't understand what all the negativity is about. Last year was a disapointment for sure. But it should be obvious that an 8-8 team with as many close losses as we suffered through could easily bounce back and be a contender next year, especially in this league. And I don't think we need a coaching change, front office makeover, or a complete talent overhaul to do so. That just my two cents.

We are very lucky to have this team here. I will always support them. They might make some head-scratching moves sometimes, but Titans are also way up there in number of wins this past decade. It could be A LOT worse.

 

Let me say this; we as Titans fans probably defend our team vs. other teams fans more than most do, because our team is worth fighting for. The Titans are a very popular team nationwide, and I like most Titans fans don't live near the team. Living in Patriot/Giant-Land I am constantly defending my team. I rep my team loud and proud, wear the Titans gear all the time all over town, and will always hear some guy say "Titans suck". I know he's just being a Raider or Jets fan lost in his ways, but it is what it is. If you get a negative vibe from only this board, then you haven't been to many boards. They're all about the same, except here you'll find the same 20-30 posters for the most part. I try to make my posts make sense to anyone reading them, and know some will get misinterpreted. The atmosphere here is made up of the members personalities so if anyone thinks this site is all bad, then you're only reading Jesse's posts. Just kidding Jesse, I used him because I know he wont mind, but the general feeling here isn't bad or negative, its just a lot of clever smart-asses LOL, making comments they'd make if you sat in their living room on game day. I've found that many fans feel they know better than the guys on the sidelines, so how couldn't they all criticize the decisions the day after? I respect Jeff Fisher a lot, but would love to smack him in his mouth after some of the things he pulls.

You won't find as good a quality of a message board for Bills fans simply because they cant spell. Same for Jags fans, Texans, and plenty of other teams. They can't hold a thought, so how can they convey an idea? Appreciate the criticism here, we all went to the 3rd grade. And because we're now 7 pages into this thread, it just shows we all love this team.
