    We have to look at how players are paid throughout the season. At the end of the year come your incentive bonuses. Go to the winter workouts and you get another tidy check. Then comes the roster bonus in April.

    Your salary of course is paid out over the year in weekly checks. If the team makes the post season you get money for that and money for the pro bowl.

    Bo Scaife will make a weekly check of $300,000. But Scaife will gladly take half that much every week if he can get a $26M deal like the one Amano got because he wants that $7M signing bonus.

    The money up front makes or breaks a deal because that is 25-30% of the deal paid in one check right away. That is what CJ wants.

    He has said he wants $30-$40mil guaranteed. I'm saying he's either going to have to come off that significantly or accept it in an unconventional way.
