Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky HOUSTON -- The Titans are incredibly lucky to be only four points behind at the half at Reliant Stadium.

The Texans have had the better of play by a lot, but penalties and missteps have meant the Titans have maintained contact. Tennessee could easily come out of intermission with things tightened up and take control of things.

Kerry Collins had accuracy trouble. Several times he had open receivers but got the ball to them too late, resulting in incompletions. On one, Brandon Jones tried to stall as he approached the right sideline, and his late dive landed him in the Texans practice kicking net.

The Texans have done well to feed Andre Johnson, and the Titans have had trouble staying between him and the ball.

The story of the second half and the game may be whether Houston is able to continue to get him the ball or if the Titans have a counter that can help slow what the Texans have been doing so well.

What's helped keep it close at intermission? Six Texans' penalties for 97 yards have been a big factor.
