    Well it would absolutely cool your cars down, less AC needed to get back to comfortable setting inside (smaller carbon footprint from each car)

    Correct me if Im wrong, but doesn't the hot sun beating down on blacktop get absorbed in to the ground? Whereas in this scenario the heat is rerouted into power? Blacktop and stuff is made of different materials that trap heat, solar cells trap the hot and convert it into power..

    Within the next 5 years we can expect to see solar panels more and more. As the technology improves so will the cost.

    My town has programs to encourage solar power, and last year the technology took a major step when they figured out a better manufacturing process.

    Gas stations here also offer charging stations, the future is coming. Somebody go see if @Finnegan2win is ready..

    My understanding of the concept/solutions is that it is a combination of both reflection of sun light back into space and the lack of absorbtion by black tops.

    Can't seem to give away those electric cars now with sub $2 gas. You do know electric cars are in fact a very, very old technology and the range really hasn't gone up much for them since.
