No, the 360 used DVD. It had an extra add-on that did HD-DVD, but none of the games were pressed on HD-DVD discs.

Ironically, had Microsoft used HD-DVD as their format for the 360, there's a very real possibility that it could have beaten out Blu-Ray. But MS's focus has always been on streaming video.

Disney and the porn industry chose Bluray, that's why it won.

Eh, Disney was considering HD-DVD in 2006 (after the 360 launched) and the primary reason the porn industry went Blu-Ray was because the PS3 supported it. The 360 outsold the PS3 pretty hardcore early on though, so had MS support HD-DVD these decisions could have been very different. Nothing was written in stone for the disc formats at the time the 360 came out.

Oh boy, we can not play all those old 360 games that I don't want to play again...

They were asking about it, so I informed them.

Personally, I'm glad I finally get to put my US 360 away. Gotta keep the Japanese one hooked up though because I doubt the Xbox One will magically have region-free backwards compatibility (of course, it wouldn't matter regardless because the JP 360 is on a smaller TV that I can put on its side to play vertical scrolling shooters; wouldn't want to try putting my flat-screen on its side).

Yeah, I was really excited when the PS3(fat) was backwards compatible. Never played a damn thing from the PS2...

Still have my PS2 and PS3 setup anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

I'm not concerned with playing older games.

I have N64, PSN, Nintendo emulates running on my PC for nostalgic gaming.

The 360 has nothing that I would like to play again.

PS3 has the Metal Gear 4 which I'd gladly buy again if released for PS4

It's for 100 games so far and free if you owned the game. Being free is huge but yeah, people complain about no games on ps4 xb1 and cele Brahe being able to play old games.
    Meh, move forward.
