As long as he is phased in and not just handed full control of the team (a la John Elway in Denver), why would anyone have a problem with it? He has proven to be one of the brightest football minds ever.

I actually wouldn't mind having Manning in the front office.

A minority ownership type thing would be ideal. I think it would be cool to see him sitting in the owner's box every week.

    Front office? Not so much.

Partial owner would be nice but I don't know I think he would make for a good executive one day, he knows his football.

I have no specific problem with him playing for the Titans. This part owner front office stuff is what puts the ice pick in my heart. From that day we would cease to be the Titans. We would always be the house that Peyton built.
Oilers history? Entirely out the window. Everything before Peyton will be wiped off the map and we will be an annex of the big ugly orange east TN non-winning behemoth. ESPN will eat it up like bacon on Sunday. Welcome to the millions of new Titan "fans," you may check in your used Colt jerseys for .50 store credit. Can't wait to see your bright orange corn hole set in my parking spot next fall.

Yeah...it would likely finalize the move from Houston to Tennessee for alot of folks on both sides of that equation....good point.

I have always seen Peyton as an offensive coordinator post playing days first, then moving to HC. I think his trip to FO will come from the sidelines.

fwiw, Manning has the highest IQ of any current player in the NFL at any position. I think he'll do just fine. (and I'm not just basing that opinion on IQ tests)

If this gets us a ring or anywhere close again it is worth it.

I firmly believe this is more about getting back to the Super Bowl than it does with bringing in more fans or anything like that.

I think the only thing it does is kill our rivalry with the Colts, if we get Manning, then who really cares about the Colts anymore?
