    Interesting stuff, but seems more like a mystery organ. You take something that big out of the body and you have to wonder what the resulting effect will be.

    Erectile dysfunction has been proven linked to the absence of a spleen in certain test studies.

    Apparantely, people who have had their spleens removed, have had perfectly healthy lives...don't trust ESPN...

    If I recall correctly, Volek didn't have his removed. They just operated on him to stitch the laceration up.
