Just. Wow. Can you really not follow the bouncing ball???
Take away OT and both teams had the exact same number of starting drives in 4 qtrs. Take away OT, and the Texans had 370 yards of offense, and 20 first downs. 370 yards is our average for last year, good for 7th in the league. And isn't your D much improved? Like a "top 10" unit right, as everyone thinks around here? And I also agree your D is much improved. And really good defenses don't give up this amount of yardage and points in 4 quarters very often. And sure, against good defenses you can expect to put the ball more often than usual. So YES, all things considered the Texans moved the damn ball, ESPECIALLY in the end when it counted. But oh wait!!! Those yards and points at the end of the game don't count because your defense was sooooo tired. LOL! Meanwhile, our D on short week had no problem shutting your offense down when it counted.
Lol, wow. You're putting a lot of words into people's mouth here....
I never said this D is top10 but this D has improved a lot from last year. A top15 defense at the moment till it keeps improving. Again, this D buckled own after the first series and slowed down the Texans until it came late in the game because the offense couldn't hang onto the ball. That can kill a defense, happen to us all year last year. Bunch of 3 and outs hurt a defense. You didn't move the ball so damn great ( 7 PUNTS) after that first series. Yeah you moved it here and there to invoid getting a 3 and out but it led to a punt! That is not moving the ball so great if you keep punting it. Your last 2 possession was when you started moving the ball again. So when did I or anyone say the yards and points don't count? It is not hard to understand a defense can get gassed out when the offense can't help out the defense. You guys made the plays to win it at the end but our defense was there stopping you guys to 7 punts. Our offense blew it for us and the defense couldn't make one more play like they have been all game. And don't give me that bullcrap about short week, its the second week of season and you played Monday. Our offense is still new, its not a high power offense right now.
you have to forgive him, he's used to people putting things in his mouth
See that That is a hold if that hold doesn't happen we are 2-0
It's actually closer to a tackle...... Kind of like what was going on all game
lol, I honestly don't know what else to tell you oh wise one. I already pointed out the difference in yardage and first downs on the same number of drives in 4 qtrs. Maybe just call your "Top 15" D a bend don't break defense, or whatever you want to call it lol. But wait, if you did bend would imply MOVING the ball. If you scroll up, my whole original point to which you tried to call me out on was about not settling for FG attempts (two of which in the first half) when MOVING the ball into your territory and not letting drives stall after MOVING the ball into your side of the field... getting to your 30 yd line as we did twice after our original TD drive in the first half. I know, you're football knowledge is so superior that even Kubiak has no clue when asked about this on the radio today and what yall did to prevent us from finishing those drives, or extending them. He stated "Well, its not so much what they did to us, but that WE didn't execute like we should have on 3rd downs."
Despite taking my point out of context and not acknowledging the two missed FGs in the first half alone which is what the hell I was talking about, your premise is based on some line of thinking that because we managed as many punts as we did, that there are now perfectly good excuses for 1- our opening drive (yall came out flat) and 2- our end of game drives (your defense was tired).
Here is my point. Yes your D is improved. Other than that, I certainly did not get anything out of this game on our end other than stupid missed FGs on stalled drives, Schaub and rookie Hopkins miscommunicating costing us 6 points, and a great play by your D with the tipped passed that was deflected luckily right to Pollard on our side of the 50. We were down 2-0 in turnovers, yet still outgained you guys and that good D. Meaning, if this is your playoff type D, we can handle it and I expect even more points next time we play. What you CANNOT, and will not match is our offense. OH, and despite our mistakes we know how to step up and seal the deal when it counts. Its what WINNING teams do.
See you nancys again week 17. On to Balty and a chance to go 3-0.
How the hell does Andre not have to sit out a game? He got a concussion and was out cold with his hands frozen around the ball.
They said he's doing great because he's riding a stationary bike. Really? Wtf.
That is rediculous and that proves it. We won this game. No two points for the Texans. Yep Titans won. Man can't wait for week 17 when we end Schaub's career.
Twatt was never held but he used hands to the face plenty. If you have proof of Twatt being held then post the pics. I don't want to hear a bunch of degenerates crying about how the biggest fruit on their team was shoved around all day.
