I like all of those, but if you want to be technical, the 28s are not actually zombies.

Is that because they don't die before they come back?

Technically none of those movies are "zombies"..
White Zombie, The Serpent and The Rainbow and Fulci's Zombie are real zombie flicks.
The rest are The Living Dead, casually referred to as zombies...

4)28 weeks later .. this one gets in SOLELY because of the movie intro. It STILL gets my adrenaline going.

In fact I have never seen a single one of the movies you listed. lol

They are so loosely following that story I wouldn't bank on those details..

I like all of those flicks sans 28 Weeks, which doesn't even belong in the top 100.
But of course if you haven't seen a Romero "Dead" film, you haven't seen a Dead film period.

Night of The Living Dead (69) is the original and always will be the best. Takes the horror and drama of the old I Am Legend novella and drives it home with a nasty Midwest flair..
An anti-hero trapped in a house with a couple of other idiots fighting off the hoards for the very first time on film.
From the opening "They're coming to get you Barbara.." graveyard scene to the grim finale this one does it the best.

And of course: ZOMBIES DON'T RUN!
