It's going to take at least 2 more off-seasons for Webster to get the roster where it needs to be. As good as he did this off-season, we still have a long way to go. On defense specifically we have more than just FS that we're thin on depth.

McCourty: Solid starting CB, but not truly #1 material. An ideal roster would have McCourty at the #2 position like with Finny was here, but he is a decent #1 if we have to go with him.

Verner: Ideal position is inside as a slot/nickle DB. He is a bit small and slow to play outside DB, but not terrible. If we have him starting outside, then our roster is very weak at DB.

BWW/Campbell: Both guys are similar because they should be starting outside if they can become good enough. Good speed and size make them ideal outside CBs to play opposite of McCourty.

Just my opinion on it. I really don't want to see Verner playing outside defensive back again this season.. he needs to stay inside. Hopefully BWW or Campbell can prove themselves as starters. Their upside is way higher than Verners.

I agree we're at least 1 offseason away from being legit Superbowl contenders. I think we need another DE, a true MLB, and a shut down CB. THat's with Griff improving at SS and resigning Pollard to a long term deal after this season.

I want to see martin now that he is healthy. I also think the S 7th rounder out of Nebraska may surprise us. He was a big time recruit and a baller for the huskers. Sad thing is griffin is getting paid but probably should not even be starting. Pollard and Wilson should

Martin is not real, he's a figment of our imaginations.

I think if we are lucky he will be another Donnie Nickey. Nothing more.

The only time I talk about depth at the FS position is when Im deciding how deep to the hole for one of them to fall into.

Somebody figure a way to get Griffin to jump in there.
