The Titans have hired Mike Sullivan as an assistant offensive line coach, and he will serve under offensive line coach Bob Bostad.

Sullivan served as Cleveland’s offensive line coach last season, and was San Diego’s offensive line coach the previous four years.

Two Browns linemen – tackle Joe Thomas and center Alex Mack – went to the Pro Bowl last year. While Sullivan was in San Diego, the Chargers averaged 1,640 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns per season. Guard Kris Dielman earned three Pro Bowl invites during that stretch.

A former sixth-round draft pick of the Cowboys in 1991, Sullivan played 48 NFL games for Tampa Bay from 1992-95. He has 11 years’ experience overall as an NFL assistant.

Ex OL coach, now an assistant? Why not! Such a huge upgrade over Bruce.

looks like the same old buddy system but this time with experience. i don't see us having an experienced ASSISTANT offensive line coach carrying much weight going into the regular season.

An assistant o-line coach that is an upgrade to our o-line coach from a year ago. The staff we just got rid of was really bad! Again another nice hire!

If this is the buddy system, Whisenhunt runs with a better crowd. The test will be when changes to the coaching staff are obviously needed and how Whisenhunt reacts.

That said, maybe I missed something, but when did Whisenhunt and Sullivan work together previously?

this staff is gonna have 10 times the experience the old staff. I think all this experience will really help with prep and game plans.
