    Off season sucks.

Titans made the front page of Reddit today. For complete nonsense.

A link to the article written by Dan Hanzus. That's @DanHanzus for Twitter...

"Titans: The Titans could wisely use the "Hard Knocks" platform to remind the world they exist."

Ouch. Not really false but did he need to say it?

In all seriousness we will not be on Hard Knocks despite the fact we want to every year.

I'll say it again. Titans have a massive marketing problem. They are a product to be sold and they suck at it.

Every franchise sells itself. Every franchise should have an image.

    What is our image?
What message do the Tennessee Titans send?
What do people in other cities think of when someone mentions the Tennessee Titans?

Even Jacksonville has figured this out.

    Winning doesn't fix everything.

I recall going 13-3 and still being the last thing mentioned on SportsCenter.

When was the last time we had a player featured in a nationwide marketing campaign?
    VY jogging with Allen Iverson?

New owner (not really) - √
    Stadium upgrades - √
    New coach - √
    New logo - _____
    New uniform - _____
    Star players - _____
    Wins - _____
Fans and media onboard - _____

    Missing pieces.

I think a complete redesign of this team from the logo to the colors they wear would help tremendously.

Everything they wear screams late 90's. There is nothing timeless in our logo or uniform set.

We have no tradition. When you play with the damn team on the latest Madden they still talk about Jeff Fisher... That is our tradition... Jeff Fisher.

Keep the raccoon. Reboot everything else. Now is the time.

    We were 10-0, not 13-0...

13-0 and we would've joined a very elite class.

But yes, we are absolutely horrible at marketing. That's been apparent for years.

    Agreed. We need a makeover.

Always seems to rejuvenate teams. We've got nothing to lose.

Doesn't fix our problem and is easier said than done.

I'm sure the Buffalo Bills would love to win a couple Super Bowls to keep their asses firmly planted in Buffalo rather than heading to Toronto but it ain't happening.

Therefore come up with other ways to generate interest in the franchise.

Other teams do it constantly yet the Titans do nothing.

I just want the image of the franchise revamped.

Even though it would be kind of nice to revamp our jerseys, logos, colors, etc. I don't really view that as the problem.

    1. We have to shake the image of being an average and passive team. The late Fisher years and the Munchak era absolutely killed us in the public spotlight and in the fan base. We've had way too much controversy with players and coaches over the past few years and I feel like that has sort of split up the fans. We can really go back to the treatment of McNair's last few months here as the starting point. Then it was Pac Man, VY, Fisher, and most recently CJ. These just weren't small little issues, hell ESPN covered all of these situations and they never talk about us. If the fans can get over what has happened lately and unite back together to form groups, special sections in the stadium, generate more excitement for the team and actually make Nashville a scary place to play in again then we're on our way.

    2. Now if step 1 can be accomplished then welcome to step 2, accountability and respect. The Titans were lacking in the accountability department when judging their players and staff and the respect from everyone outside or even inside the organization dipped. My faith that this team would ever turn that corner again and try to be a top organization took a major hit when Munchak came back last year. It screamed that we were okay with being average. Now, this Whisenhunt move is huge on so many levels. Now we have winners on our sidelines, coaches with success and attitude and that's going to rub off on the players. If the fans can get something going then the players will see and feel that and they'll play even better. All of a sudden, Titans players are going all out, something I feel like not many really do. We have a squad full of guys committed to the actual team. I'm not saying we're going to both the South's version of Seattle but why not? What was special about Seattle 5 years ago? How do we get to where they are now?

    3. Now we have pride, now we have respect. We're not just a team people throw to the side anymore, even if we're not a major market or still not getting any hype we're a team that's scary to play in Nashville and a group of players that are going all out. Along with a sideline of coaches with plenty of success in the past and current time.

Like I said before the colors and logo doesn't really matter, there may even be a chance the new stuff could look even worse. Ultimately it's going to be up to us to do something.

    tl;dr version

Tired of people giving me weird looks when I say I'm a Titans fan, something has to change. A guy even asked me once what my shirt meant, it was just a Titans logo on the front...
