I think it would be funny to see CJ have to miss a game and us have to watch Locker throw the ball then. That game would get ugly in a hurry!

Totally agree. I don't think we should give up on it either. I just think we should play to our strength, which right now is the passing game. If Jake starts completing deep passes on a routine basis that should really open things up for the running game.

We've just been using CJ and the running game all wrong IMO. He's not the type of back you try to physically impose your will with. He needs room to run because he's not running anyone over and lately he doesn't even make people miss. If we have defenders backed up worried about the pass then we should have more success with outside runs, sweeps, etc.

I wouldn't find it funny plus we have battle and green to run the ball. The game would not get ugly because locker has shown he can be accurate. Our passing game is improving week by week.

Why do you say that? You think he can't throw effectively without CJ2YPC back there?
    GoT high fives this.

Yeah, how could Locker live without those 30 yards a game :cj: provides

Our passing game is good only because CJ is in the backfield. If a team doesnt have to focus on stopping CJ they would dominate our passing offense.

Exactly. If you put Battle or Greene back there the entire game we may be able to run the ball a little better but Jake will not be anywhere close to effective as he is with CJ back there.

It's not the yards, its the threat that makes it easier for him to throw it. Let's use our brains here people. It's called cause and effect

There's a reason any running back that has Peyton as his QB looks really good.
