I hear what you're saying but I have a hard time with two things... First you say that we were running the ball a lot because it worked "well". If you define working well as averaging 2.6 yards per carry then I have issue with that. Again, if we were running and having success the way I define it, say averaging 5+ yards a carry and actually scoring touchdowns then I tend to agree with you. You also say that we played that way because we had the lead, which we did for most of the game. But what you are describing is Fisherball plain and simple and I've seen us lose too often to be comfortable with that approach to football. Any time a team is two scores away from you I don't believe you can just burn clock, not in this day and age of football.
