    You can bet the Chiefs will be more likely to go DLine at #5. But it could be either a DT or DE. Also, with the Vikings' pick at #17, they could wait for a DE there (there won't be a DT worth taking there).

    damn this sucks..1 of my closest friends is a vikings fan...vince is gonna struggle gainst the vikings...w/ a line like that...arguably the best in the nfl after aquiring allen.

    either way..doesnt matter we still beating em

    I think most likely reason, is Jared Allen is 1 DUI away from having a year long NFL suspension.

    Hard to justify giving up so much draft value for someone that's a mistake away from not playing.

    Look at what the Vikes are paying him. Look at what they're giving up in the way of draft picks. I would not make this deal for a guy with two strikes against him.

    He definitely wasn't worth it. Huge risk, huge paycheck, huge cost in terms of picks. The vikings will regret this in the long run.

    Remember the Herschel Walker deal? Even though the Vikes apparently got more than one guy in the deal, they regretted that trade for years.

    Now, history is repeating itself.
