Verner graded out as the top CB only giving up 1 completion for 4 yards and also making 6 tackles (the one on his lone completion and 5 in the running game). I thought that Verner would excell in Lovie Smith's system. Glad for him.

McCourty was the #2 rated CB...He played great, but shutting down Avery is not a huge accomplishment. I still can't figure out why nobody is throwing towards BWW. Seemed like during preseason I rarely heard his name called and don't remember it being called yesterday.

Casey was the top rated DE over JJ Watt, but of course Watt gets all the media attention. Keep it up Casey be that silent but deadly lunch pail type of player.

Morgan was the 2nd best rated edge rusher behind Cameron Wake. His tip of that one pass was a tremendous play.

I'm pleasantly surprised by Morgan. Glad to hear Verner doing well also.

Morgan was getting pressure all day!

Verner was made for that system.

    Casey is a beast

Let's pump the breaks a bit here. Casey had a solid game but here's Watt's stat line:

Two sacks (one was nullified due to accepting the grounding penalty).
    Hit RG3 five times.
    Blocked an extra point.
    Recovered a fumble.
    Batted down a pass.

I'm not going to call this small market media bias.

Hard to grade a CB in that scheme though.

Also, what WRs was he even covering? Did he get much work on Kelvin Benjamin?

That's probably the worst WR corps in the league. Congrats on shutting down Cotchery and Avant though.

Same could be said for the Chiefs.

    Absolutely. Never said otherwise.

With Bowe in there it's not the worst WR corps though. Yesterday it was the worst.

That's why I'm not getting overly excited. As much of a joke as the Cowboys are, they'll be a much bigger test for our defense.

Interesting. I still don't understand how they do their grading.

Also curious to how he is he rated better than Sherman? Rodgers didn't throw a pass near him all game thursday night.
