McNair and VY are two totally different styles.
Russell Wilson reminds me a little bit of McNair!
Yes, McNair was also a great leader and hard worker who had the respect of his teammates.
well he showed up for practice even when he was just standing on the sidelines.
Im just sayin'
McMVP was a lot of things, hard worker other than game day was not one of them.
You guys have to know by now how reluctant Jeff Fisher is to let others run his teams. He had a Jerry Jones Jimmy Johnson fall out because a QB saved his butt twice, most coaches would love you for this, but not Fisher, he can't be in anyones shadow. It took years for McNair to get Fisher's trust. The guy loves playing by the book, if he had one creative bone in his body I'd fall over.
Kinda feel bad for Sam Bradford, he's been getting less and less touches each year, and now with Fisher as coach, he'll be lucky to throw 500 times.
You know Fisher is whispering in Bradford's ear constantly: "There is nothing wrong with punting"
Haha, but there is a time and a place that he'd be right
Yeah when your already up 20 some points with less than 10 mins to go in a game!
Thats one example, but Ive seen and experienced how pinning your opponents back can set you up for an easy score.
Sometimes the best offense is a good defense.
I agree but you should never be happy about having to punt. Punting is a backup plan!
McNair EARNED the respect of his teammates and that of the league... And fought week-in/week-out, year-in/year-out to keep it.... Warrior mentality... A selfless leader.
VY threw his pads in the stands.... Guy was a wuss... Don't get me wrong, he won some games and showed he had some clutch in him. Had he not thrown away his career by being a baby, he mighta been something.
