That's a bit silly. We over achieved big time last year and Mularkey is the coach.

 

He did say "to a less than 5 win team". We did overachieve, i agree, but 5 wins, is totally unexceptable. I personally, expect a 8-10 win team in 2017.

 

There is no way this signing eliminates the possibility of going ILB early in the draft.

To me this is just JRob making sure he has contingency plans in all areas so he can continue to go BPA in the draft without worrying about needs that have to be filled.

 

This does make some sense.

I agree. Less than 8 wins and I'll be very unhappy. Jags "won" FA again, Colts haven't done much and the Texans got rid of Brock. You could argue each got a bit better, but it would be on par with what the Titans have done I'd say. So they should at least match what we did last year, with adding 2 first round players and Logan Ryan + ST guys.

 

I do not see it as "Silly" at all. We did over achieve last year. We won more than I expected. Five to six wins it where I thought we would be last year. If we fall behind that mark in the second year of the system there is no excuse. We should be expected to improve year to year. There is no reason to stay at the same mark or worse. Especially considering the resources we had/have at our disposal. We had a HUGE amount of cap space we did not utilize as well as we could've. We have 2 first round picks and 2 third round picks. I hate that we do not have that second round pick this year; as it is a prime DB pick in this draft...

Robinson is the GM. He is responsible for the overall performance of the team & supplying the team with the talent to improve. If we regress to less than 5 wins; how can anyone think it "Silly" to expect Robinson to address that failure aggressively/publicly????????
