I think this game is going to be very tough and is a toss up. The raiders have the potential to play well and pryor will get better as the season moves along and he gets more experience. I think we can do 10-6 but if we go 9-7 this would be the other game we lose aside from @ indy and @ den

I think if our passing o is rolling by the time we play Denver we have a shot at beating them. jake would need to extend a few drives with his legs to keep peyton on the sideline, and after that mathis hit he was throwing a few ducks, so if we get one or two of em thatd be nice

we need to take advantage of their terrible passing defense, make them tired. We need peyton on the bench if we want to win this game. No win or Loss is a given in this league and I think we can do it if we bring our A game

There's multiple reasons why i'm pumped for the future...

#1: Locker, for all the points that you said
    #2: Defense is coming around
    #3: Defense is still young(er) -- Morgan (24), Casey (23), Martin (23), Ayers (24), Brown (24), Gooden (23), McCourty (26), Verner (24), Griffin (28), Pollard (28)
#4: WRs are improving, I believe we have a future dynamic duo in Wright & Hunter
#5: We have $$$ to spend if we cut who we should (CJ2K, Wimbley, Stewart, & Stevens)

I'm hoping that we turn it around after the bye. No reason we can't go 7-2 (assuming losses to Den and Indy once). That puts us at 10-6, potential AFC South Titans or Wildcard. We make the playoffs and get these younger guys, especially Locker, some post season experience. We then fill in the holes this offseason: RT, MLB, DE, & RB - while keeping our main FAs: Verner, Pollard, and Pito.

    Check out this website: http://overthecap.com/teamcap.php?Team=Titans&Year=2014

    Some highlights:

CJ is a 10M cap number next season - and would save us 4M if he was cut - they might try to restructure his contract but that would make it even more difficult (or painful due to cap hit) to release him in 2015 or 2016.

Wimbley is a 7.8M cap number next season - we would open up 2.4M if we released him and eat 5.4M

Stevens has a cap number of 4.4M and would free up 2.4M (I think he's a cut next year 100%)

Bironas has a cap number of 3.75M if we release him and picked up a low cost kicker we save 3M (I think he's a cut as well 100%)

    Other Candidates to get cut:

George Wilson (2.3M cap number - 2M in savings if cut)
Ryan Fitzpatrick (4.125M cap number - 3.25M in savings if cut)

I would try to restructure cj because if we cut him another team will pick him up in a heartbeat. I think he has some good football in him.

I think stevens is gone and maybe we can restructure bironas contract or go after a new kicker the way he has been kicking this year.

Fitz needs to go regardless of a cap hit or not.

I doubt we cut George, he's a great lockerroom leader and has played well. Even though he's slightly overpaid - I keep him.

I would cut CJ2K, Stewart, Stevens, Wimbley, and Fitzpatrick. We cut those 5 and we now have $18.4 freed up. That's enough to keep our key free agents: Verner, Pollard, and Pito. In the draft we go: OT/DE, OT/DE, no 3rd, RB in our first 4 rounds. In free agency we go after a starting MLB & cheap vet TE.
