Will Fisher get Fired Monday?

The problem I have with this argument is that it's pretty much saying "look how good we did considering the abysmal start!" The strong finish shouldn't excuse the abysmal start IMO. Especially when the wins only started to roll in after a QB change that the coach had been strongly opposed to during the pathetic 0-6 start. Injuries or not, there's no excuse for this team losing six straight out of the gate.

 

see Rod Hood thread......Perhaps Titans coaching personnel do see and know things about the player that the experts on GoTitans BB don't know.

 

Wade Phillips, Jack Del Rio and Dennis Green all have winning records too. A winning record doesn't mean you can't also be an average or below average coach.

Houston Texans
Jacksonville Jaguars
San Fransisco 49ers
Buffalo Bills
Arizona Cardinals
St Louis Rams
Miami Dolphins
Seattle Seahawks

...

All we had to do to finish 8-8 was show up to those games with a pulse.

1. What would have happened if Vince started earlier and we got to the playoffs? Another beatdown from SD, Indy or NE? We weren't going nowhere regardless.
2. Check your Titans history and you'll see Fisher has always used rookies in the return game. Derrick Mason, Pacman, etc..... The guys this year let him down.
3. Jury's still out... Know this much, the players are behind him and the whole secondary played horrific for the most part. Sound's like the players are accepting the blame.
4. That is how it affected you.
5. Coaching didn't lose that Ravens game last year, fumbles did. 2007 we were out manned.
6. Just because Dan Marino never won a SB doesn't make him less of an all time great. It takes a lot of things to fall in place to win the big game.

 

yeah well having a winning record makes you an above average coach. Kinda in the defination of having a winning record.

 

Dude, make up your mind. First you're generalizing about the season, now you're just talking about today's game. pick one.

 

is this serious?? fisher is a good coach because he has more regular season wins that losses?
