I can agree with this... However you have to make sure the downside of the prospect is minimal first.

I have a really good gut feeling about one QB i think is going to be the steal of this draft and he is not in the top three.I think we could grab him in the second round his name is Jimmy Garoppolo.I would be very happy if we draft him i just know this guy could flourish under Whisenhunt.

Edwards may be on the bubble.

I don't know how athletic he is, but he will likely be cut for his roster spot.

    Watch the play around :48

He's basically wide-nine there, what a ton of 34OLBs will blitz too. Especially if you use them as a situational pass-rusher, which we could do with Edwards. At 6'4 277 he's a little heavy, but he could easily get down to 265. Edwards had a 7.03 3-cone & 2.73 20-yard split; but better than Clowneys. He has the speed and ability to be an outside pass-rusher.

I think Edwards might prove to be a solid guy this coming season. OLB, mainly as a rush guy.

He has the speed and athletic ability, especially if we can cut anywhere from 5-15 lbs off of him. He could be solid vs the rush still and have a legit pass rush. As a situational pass rusher, he'd fit our hybrid defense.

Yea. He could also come in and help a heavy set or just accept the fact he could be one of the main 43 ends during the transition.
