Windows Movie Maker HELP

    So i just recently restored my computer back to factory settings and just started all over because of some adware and just way too many unused programs. so anyways i use windows movie maker for editing my videos. my video files are .mov but i convert them to .avi and run them on WMM like that. i had to download a codec for the .avi files to work in WMM but since i restored my computer i no longer have that codec and can't remember where i downloaded it or which kind it was. anyone know a codec that will allow .avi video to play in WMM? i tried divx codec and it didnt work

    Have you tried free-codecs.com? Don't buy the $20 one from microsoft.

    i figured it out....i downloaded k-lite codec pack and it took care of the problem.
