Anyone here write? Used to do it damn near daily for years when I was younger. Used to really help, but it got to the point where it was just way too brutal and dark. Now I'm once again hate filled enough to enjoy poetry. I doubt most of you can think out more than 2 sentences, but surely some of you write. I'd be interested in reading/posting some if anyone else is interested.
I'll go first. A cardboard lineage passed through alleyways Confused spectators paralyzed False idols once condemned now mastermind All the while, false reflections in the corner of my eye No time left to watch dead men cry Often fantasize that beneath the lies lay a better life No longer would I need to keep watch at night. A constant fear of being alive, but with that comes the calm of knowing I'll die. That day I can no longer cry, no words left to ask why Just a soul and the hope that someone knows why. Intertwined with the past, im a sinner im a saint A pain so intense I disassociate Biased clay memories, preserved and served cold as the pain of a mother too far gone to grow old. Paraphernalia shrapnel, needles made of candy canes Rivers and valleys full of blood and veins To feel the throb of your heart, each beat in vain. Every word is a paddle up the stream of insane. And ya'll thought I just posted pictures.
But seriously, I write, though attempting to write a novel. Doubt it will ever get done to the point where I will submit it for publishing but I like to do it and it proves some sort of escapism.
I had to write a poem for my speech class senior year of high school... it was awesome. It was right after the Giants beat the Pats in the Super Bowl, and I did a poem on that. I wish I still had a copy of it. It's probably somewhere in my bedroom closet.
You can't end two sentences with the same word even if they're spelled differently.. vein/vain & why/why.. C'mon.. English 101.
