I'm also wondering what Weems brings to the table now that we've drafted Jackson and Muhammad with return skills?

weems also plays gunner, super vet leadership guy, sure hands when we don't want to put our first round CB out there to get killed.

I wouldn't assume Muhammad makes the cut. Guy is way too short to give him good odds.

 

Lol at ppl concerned about our rookie DB playing special teams in fear of him getting hurt. It's not like the guy put himself at risk returning kicks and playing on offense in his NCAA career...oh wait

He has no injury concerns and right now the best asset he brings to the team is on special teams

 

Let's be realistic...Weems was acquired via free agency, while Robinson took a 7th round flyer on Muhammad. I think we know who is more likely to make the team, though I think Muhammad has a good shot.

 

^exactly! We drafted at least 3 guys that could be the return specialist and all have more speed than Weems. I think he was touted as a special teams guy brought in to help with our horrid ST coverage game.

Mularkey & Robiskie love him.
